INFO FOR TEACHERS | INFO FOR STUDENTS
Calling all teachers! Do you have any budding artists, computer game designers or programmers in your class?
Well, here’s a chance for them to get noticed!
Quizalize is a fun assessment tool used in schools all over the world. As students answer questions in Quizalize, they score points in fun team games on the interactive whiteboard. This friendly competition encourages students to answer questions correctly.
We already have two of these games to choose from, and we want to add a third.
That’s where your students come in!
The challenge – draw and describe a fun new classroom game
We want students to design a fun game for the interactive whiteboard that spurs students on to answer quiz questions.
This video of our current two games will give you a sense of how games in Quizalize work. Essentially, students answer quiz questions on devices and their progress is reflected on the whiteboard.
We want your students to draw how their new game will look and write a short description of how it will work. The description is just as important as the drawings (not every student is a natural born artist!)
Please note: They don’t have to programme or animate the game – we can do that bit! We are just after great ideas. We value effort, imagination, originality and ingenuity!
Big prizes on offer!
Our judging panel will crown student winners from American states and countries. Winners in each of these regions will receive a $200* cash prize plus $250* for their school! *Equivalent amounts in local currencies for schools outside the USA
Each of these winners will be put through to the worldwide final, and the ultimate winning design will be turned into an actual game inside Quizalize – then played by millions of students around the world!
